The Support You Deserve
After teaching in three very different districts/ schools, they each showed me the importance of supporting teachers in their practices.

My first school had a reading coach and valued professional development from all areas and expertise. After leaving, my next district had one-to-one devices, tons of administrative support and trust, but lacked in developing its teachers in their content areas. Finally, the last school I taught at had no resources, no support, and no professional development. We all taught differently and were left in the dark.

These experiences have made it clear the importance of having support and professional development. Without this, learning cannot occur. That is why I created The Bridging Literacy Community to support teachers in their journey and offering the resources to save them time and their sanity.
